The authors define the value of transport systems as an effective integrator of the countries and regions in the international economy. They also consider primary goals of transport for achievement of the purposes of the international economic integration, priorities of participation of Russia in transport projects on the post-Soviet territory, and prove the necessity of participation for the international transport organizations. The purposes and problems of functioning of the international transport corridors on the Russian territory are considered in detail.

The article examines opportunities to import technologies for the reindustrialization of Russia, gives evidence that this opportunities are used poorly, identifies the main obstacles to more effective use of foreign technology in the domestic economy, sets out the considerations
relating to incentives for imports of capital equipment and technology. The main conclusion of the study: reindustrialization of Russia can be successful only if it is a part of the industrial policy and if a State is at the head of this process.

The article is about the enhancement of Russia’s participation in multilateral organizations and forums during the last two decades. The author analyses the benefits and costs that result from the participation, including the forthcoming joining the WTO and the OECD. The necessity to raise
the effectiveness of the participation, which would allow strengthening the country’s position in the global economy, is stressed. Although it would imply greater expenditure in foreign currency. The author expresses some ideas about the methods of increasing the effectiveness of the participationand proposes to insert the special section - «Optimization of Russian membership in multilateral organizations and forums» into national programs of the development of international economic relations.

The author considers the results of the eighth Conference of the WTO Ministers (December, 2011), and the results of the discussion of possible ways of continuing negotiations under the WTO Trade Negotiations Committee. Joining the WTO will bring with itself competitive stimulus in which the Russian economy is in great need. It meets requirements of national manufacturers, aspiring to expand their operations in the world market, and contradicts interests of those companies which are not aimed at gaining the markets of other countries, and, on the contrary, demand from the government to protect them from foreign competition. It is possible to agree that the influence of the accession to WTO will have a postponed effect on the national economy. Nevertheless, it will be, most likely, rather
notable and will stimulate the modernization of the Russian economy and will become a positive factor of its strategic development.
